Wise InstallerWise Installer This was taken from the Wise Getting Started document. Wise Package Studio® helps system administrators and desktop integration labs streamline the process of packaging software applications for delivery to end users. It encompasses all phases of an application’s lifecycle, from the initial repackaging to the final testing and distribution. The confusing thing about this statement is the claim that it encompasses all phases of an application's lifecycle. Then states that it starts at the application repackaging. When they say lifecycle, what they mean is from the time you purchase the software or start using the application until when you no longer use the software. This is confusing to software engineers who consider the lifecycle of an application to begin at the actual beginning of the life of an application. Altiris is ignoring the whole development cycle of an application.
